Ok so I found this website which lets you download a little program for free.
With it you can actually create some cool programs. http://scratch.mit.edu/
This program allows you to create games from scratch and allows students a first look at logic thinking and programming. The neat part about it is that it is presented as a game.

"Scratch" looks really fun! Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check it out further when I have more time. Might be useful for orientation to the library? I'm looking for a way to jazz up the orientation (wanted to use holographic life-size people, but haven't figured that out yet!) AND I love your avatar...
